About the School

Who are we?

We are the only language school in Brussels who offers courses in all the Scandinavian languages. We have more than 50 years of experience and all our teachers are native-fluent in the language they teach. The Scandinavian Language School is part of The Danish Cultural Institute Benelux. The school is situated 10 minutes walk from the Royal Castle and 5 minutes walk from the Central station and are held at the offices of the Danish Cultural Institute

Classes have a maximum of 12 students per class and a minimum of 5.

What do we offer?

We offer Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish and Icelandic courses to suit all students from beginners to proficiency level and we also offer beginner language courses in French and Dutch.

The evening courses

The evening course put emphasis on speaking, listening and learning in the target language - if needed; the support language is English, but the classes are being held in target language.
The course consists of 22 evening lessons; each evening lasts 45 minutes X 2.

The intensive course

The intensive courses put emphasis on speaking, listening and learning in the target language - if needed; the support language is English, but the classes are being held in target language.
The course consists of 10 - 12 days of lessons and the total amount of lessons is 40 X 45 minutes.

Private lessons

One-to-one with a native language teacher adopted to fit the level of the student.

Available upon request

We offer specialized courses for company personnel as well as private lessons. We offer customized courses with different possibilities; purely language courses, cultural courses (classes in English, Dutch or french) or a mix of language and culture.
