Goals level 1

At the end of year one the student must be able to:

  • To introduce himself in Swedish
  • to communicate with native speakers when eating out, booking a hotel or while buying food.
  • numbers form 1-100
  • To tell time, know the weight, to tell the names of the family, to know birthdays

At the end of year one the student must know about:

  • Allemansictten
  • Nobel prize day
  • Lucia
  • Midsummer
  • A little bit about kings and famous authors

Goals level 2

At the end of year 2 the student can

  • Discuss and understand some easy topics with his own words - easy vocabulary
  • Express his opinions - for and against - easy vocabulary
  • Knowledge of
  • Political life and order (parliament and elections, ministries government)
  • Everyday life in Sweden - culture choc - what is different from other European countries
  • Swedish newspapers
  • Swedish companies in and outside Sweden
  • Internationally known Swedish persons
  • Use presens , preteritum and future correctly in grammar

Goals level 3

At the end of year 3 the student can:

  • Participate in a Swedish conversation
  • Create a CV - and write an application letter in Swedish(very easy words translated from English)
  • Write a letter as an invitation
  • Bargain in shopping, achieving a "good" deal
  • Understand and order - looking into a menu in Swedish at a restaurant
  • Answering a phone call and take a message on the phone
  • When visiting a doctor in Sweden be able to talk to him(easy language)
