Taste of Norway

The myths about Norway and the Norwegian are many.

Such as:

• Norwegians are cold and reserved
• Norway is an expensive country!
• Norway is a dream country to live in
• Norwegians are well educated
• Norwegians are good in skiing
• Norway has beautiful nature
• Norway is cold and snowy
• Norwegians drink to get drunk

Together with Lise Traeland, teacher in Norwegian at the University of Antwerp and at the Scandinavian Language School , Brussels , you will discover whether these stereotypical ideas are correct or not.

You will learn about the country and its customs and manners, such as:

• Norwegian national day - 17.May
• seasons and nature
• our free time - what do we like
• appointments and punctuality
• visiting people, conversing and listening
• eating, and drinking in Norway
• a little bit of history and some name of famous people

The session will also have a short language introduction.
